My grandparents' flip clock had been consistently getting stuck at 10:14. It would turn it to the correct time, plug her back in, and sure enough at 10:14 it would get stuck forever. While I was in there I cleaned up the dried lubricant on the gears and make sure the motor was working (which I figured it was since it would run for a while and I could hear it whirring). I expected to find the long plastic gears to maybe have cracked, but wasn't anticipating the first gear on the outside of the plate (pictures attached, hopefully to supplement my poor description) to be missing a couple of teeth. I guess that explains why it runs for a while and then gets stuck. What is the best way to source a replacement gear?

If someone could spare a gear from a "for parts" clock that would be best and easiest. Otherwise, it was a simple straight plastic gear I would point to kkpmo.com to get a replacement. But this does not look like a simple gear. Not sure what I'm looking at. Is it metal or plastic? And the center part seems to be raised, is that right? Can you add a picture from a different angle?- Translate
